Denny Hulme, McLaren M23, locks wheels with Jean-Piere Beltoise, BRM P20, as they race through Beau Rivage which leaded to a multi-car crash. The race was stopped and 7 cars were retired, action.

(L to R): Legend has it that Bernie Ecclestone (GBR) Brabham Team Owner and John Goossens (BEL) Texaco Chief played cards to decide whether a set of Texaco stickers be placed on the Brabham's. Ecclestone lost, the stickers went on the cars and Carlos Reutemann (ARG) went on to win the first race for Brabham under Bernie's ownership.
