Debris flies everywhere as J.J.Lehto's Benetton B194 Ford which was stalled on the grid, was struck by Pedro Lamy (Lotus 107C Mugen-Honda). He had no chance of avoiding him because up until the last second he had not been able to see that there was a stationary car on the grid at all. The rest of the field takes avoiding action.
