The British crowd celebrates an apparent victory for local hero James Hunt (GBR) McLaren at the end of the race; their vociferous derision at the original decision to not allow James to take the race restart forced a hasty change of heart from race officials, who feared a riot! Hunt was subsequently disqualified from the race on appeal in September.
