Eddie Jordan (IRE) becomes the first F1 team principal to visit the new Shanghai International Circuit. Jordan was invited by the Shanghai Municipal Government, the Shanghai International Circuit and the Chinese national television broadcaster CCTV to visit the track, which will host the inaugural Chinese round of the FIA Formula One World Championship in 2004. Jordan met representative from the Shanghai International Circuit and key government officials from Shanghai Sports Bureau and Shanghai Municipal government during his visit.
