Restart of the race after the safety car period; Nicolas Hulkenberg (GER), Josef Kaufmann Racing, overtakes Sebastien Buemi (SUI), ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg Mucke Motorsport, before the start-finish line and therefore got a 30 second penalty. But also Buemi got a 30 second penalty because of suddenly braking hard at the restart (dangerous driving). Both teams have protested the result.

The teams and drivers arrived at the circuit to discover large sections of guardrail that hadnÕt been properly bolted together. The driversÕ refused to compete until the work to rectify the situation was carried out; three drivers subsequently pulled out of the race as a protest.
